Papers Accepted for Presentation: Conditions of Acceptance and Uploading InstructionsThe information on this page is only relevant to you if your paper is accepted for the conference.
The reviewers' reports will include details of any changes required as a condition of acceptance of your paper. You are free to make any other improvements to the text at this stage if you wish. The papers will be published in book form by Springer in the Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence (LNAI) sub-series of the prestigious Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series. Copyright will be held by Springer. It is a condition of acceptance that you do not submit an identical or nearly identical paper to any other conference. Final PapersFinal versions of accepted papers must be prepared in either Microsoft Word or Latex together with a copy in PDF format. Instructions for authors and templates for both Word and Latex are given by the publisher at http://www.springer.com/gb/computer-science/lncs/conference-proceedings-guidelines Papers must follow the format specified precisely. Some important instructions from the publisher are given here - please read them! If your paper has been accepted as a regular paper for oral presentation the length limit is 14 pages. If it has been accepted as a short paper it will be presented in the form of a poster (not orally) but will also be included in one of the proceedings as a 'short paper' with a length limit of six pages. These limits will be strictly enforced, with no exceptions. You should submit the final Word or Latex file(s) for your paper and an equivalent (editable) PDF file. These must be compressed into a SINGLE file using winzip (or a similar utility) and uploaded to the conference website as a single file. Papers should not have page numbers. Note that the book will be printed in black and white, so text in colour and colour figures are NOT permitted. Uploading Your Final PaperYou must upload the final version of your paper (as a compressed, e.g. winzip, file) to our website here. You will need to use the password previously notified to you to gain access to the uploading system. Papers must be uploaded by Tuesday September 14th 2021 at the latest. Because of the publisher's timescales, there will not be time for the editors to make corrections and any papers that are not changed as specified or are not correctly formatted or which are not uploaded by the deadline will not appear in the published proceedings.
Conference RegistrationIn order for your paper to be included in the proceedings, the main presenting author of each accepted paper must register for the conference by the Tuesday September 14th deadline and must attend the conference and present the paper in person. Note that full payment of the registration fee must be received by Tuesday September 14th. Presenting Authors of refereed papers (both full and short) in the Technical & Application streams must register for the conference at the authors' rate. This includes students. Information about registration is given HERE, where there is also a link to an online registration form. NOTE: All presenting authors must use the online registration form for authors. No other registration form should be used.
Contributor's Consent to Publish FormSpringer's Consent to Publish form is available for you to download (a PDF file) from here. Please print the form out, fill in the details and sign it. The title of the book is 'Artificial Intelligence XXXVIII' and the volume editors are Max Bramer and Richard Ellis. As well as the details requested please write your paper number clearly on the form. If your paper has more than one author you will be assumed to be signing on behalf of your co-authors. Email a scanned copy of the signed form to sgaipapers@gmail.com (not the publisher) to arrive by Tuesday September 14th 2021 at the latest. Put 'AI-2021 form for paper XXX' in the subject field, where XXX is the reference number of your paper. Do not include a scanned copy with the files uploaded to the website as it is likely to be overlooked.
DeadlinesThe deadlines for uploading the final revised version of your paper, emailing the publisher's Consent to Publish form and for receipt of the presenting author's registration, including full payment are all Tuesday September 14th 2021. If all these steps are not completed by that date, we cannot guarantee that your paper will be included in the proceedings.
Multiple PresentationsFor the conference to remain economically viable it is necessary that a registration fee is obtained for each accepted paper that appears in the proceedings. In cases where an author will be presenting several papers, the conference committee will still be requesting that the appropriate registration fee is paid for each paper.
