Papers Accepted for Presentation: Conditions of Acceptance and Uploading Instructions

Accepted papers will be published by Springer in book form in its IFIP Advances in Information and Communication Technology (AICT) series. Please note that there is a length limit of 10 pages for a regular paper and 5 pages for a short paper. This will be strictly enforced, with no exceptions. Authors of regular papers will be allocated 20 minutes to present their papers orally at the conference. Authors of short papers will be allocated 10 minutes to present their papers orally. An additional five minutes per paper (both regular and short) will be allocated for questions.

The reviewers' reports include details of any changes required as a condition of acceptance of your paper. You are free to make any other improvements to the text at this stage if you wish.

Final versions of papers must be uploaded by Saturday May 22nd 2010 at the latest. Because of the publisher's very tight timescales, any papers that are not uploaded in the correct format by the deadline will not appear in the published proceedings. Please note that we do not have a team of editorial staff who will help you comply with the publisher's formatting requirements - this is your responsibility. You are advised to upload your paper as far ahead of the deadline as possible to allow time for it to be referred back to you if further changes are necessary.

Paper Format

See http://www.springer.com/series/6102 for details. It is important that you read these instructions before uploading the final version of your paper.

Submitting Your Paper

The final version of your paper must be uploaded to this website using the 'Check Details of a Submitted Paper/Upload Final Version of an Accepted Paper' link. You will need to use the password previously notified to you.

You should submit the final Word or Latex file(s) for your paper and an equivalent (editable) PDF file. These must be compressed into a SINGLE file using winzip (or a similar utility) and uploaded as a single file.

Registration

In order for your paper to be included in the proceedings, at least one author of each accepted paper must register for the conference by Saturday May 22nd and must attend the conference and present the paper in person. This author is referred to below as the 'presenting author'. Note that 'registration' implies that payment must be received in full by May 22nd. Registration entitles you to attend any or all of the sessions at WCC 2010, not just those for IFIP AI 2010.

Registration Fee for Authors

You should register via the WCC conference website at http://www.wcc2010.org/content/registration. The registration fee applicable to the presenting author of each paper is the "Author Discount" rate, which is 799 Australian Dollars. Note that this is considerably lower than the fees for regular delegates listed on the WCC 2010 website. Note also that the author discount rate applies to all authors of an accepted paper, not only the presenting author.

If you are the presenting author of more than one paper, you only have to pay one registration fee.

Assignment of Rights Form

It is a condition of acceptance that you transfer copyright to IFIP. There is an Assignment of Copyright to IFIP and Author's Warranty to Springer form available from http://www.springer.com/series/6102 by clicking on the 'IFIP Copyright Form' link on the right-hand side of the screen.

The form is in PDF format. Please print it out, complete it and email a scanned copy to max.bramer@port.ac.uk by May 22nd at the latest. The subject field of the email should contain 'Copyright form for IFIP AI 2010'. As well as the title of your paper and the authors' names, please write your paper number clearly on the form. The Publication Name is Artificial Intelligence in Theory and Practice III.

Congratulations on having a paper selected for inclusion in the World Congress. I look forward to seeing you in Brisbane in September.
